Manistee County Fair began in 1876 in Bear Lake, Michigan. As the event became more popular, eventually a permanent Fair Grounds were purchased on the shore of Portage Lake, Onekama in 1887.

We all know how tough the economy is for many of our friends and neighbors! In keeping with our commitment to support our community, General Admission to the FairGrounds has been kept at just $3 for adults. Children under 12 can enjoy this year’s Manistee County Fair with FREE admission.
